One of my favorite parts of the day is Kindergarten pick up where (as I've mentioned before) I get the privilege of escorting two very knowledgeable boys home from school each day. Their conversations are always enlightening. Today was no exception!
JW: Grown ups don't really play with toys much because they don't really have time to play with them.
Luke: Yea because they have to do the important stuff (with heavy annunciation on the "t's" in important!).
JW: Yea like go to work so they can make lots of money so they won't die. (slight pause) I don't really wanna die.
Luke: Yea, me neither.
JW: Do you know how to make lots and lots of more money so that you can be very very rich?
Luke: Yea. You have to get up really early and go to work even longer and work even harder so they pay you more money.
JW: Noooooo. You have to marry someone who already has lots of money!! (BIG GRIN as he looks at me) Isn't that right, Momma?
I love how JW looked to you for confirmation that his plan was, indeed, the correct way to go!!
