I have no idea...

I stayed home with John Wesley today because he was running fever. He's not much different when he's sick...the only way I can tell is that his eyes are glassy and he sounds like his throat is swollen. But, these obstacles do not keep the little jabberbox from talking non-stop all day long. Seriously, from the moment his feet touch the floor he's talking. Usually asking question after question after question until I finally tell him he has to be quiet until I say he can talk (this usually takes place in the van after the other kids have been dropped off and he is questioning everything including my driving skills!!).

Anyway, he goes through these phases of little phrases he uses almost everytime he speaks. It was "I can't believe..." Like, he'd say, "I can't believe you just did that." Or, "I can't believe I have to eat tacos again."

Now, his phrase of choise is "I have no idea..." For instance, he might say, "I have no idea how you do that, Aunt Shellee." Or, "I have no idea how my shoes got there." This morning, being out of milk and still in my PJs, I had to make him toast for breakfast. I sat it down on the table, called him in to eat, and went on about my business when I heard..."I have no idea what this white stuff is on my toast!"

It made me chuckle a bit. (In case you're wondering, it was butter!)
