We Made Cinnamon Rolls...Way Back in December!

This post should have been written in December, but it wasn't. Imagine that!!

Wes bought me The Pioneer Woman Cooks cookbook for Christmas. (For some reason, I can't underline the title. What's up with that, Blogger?) I totally blew the surprise though when I decided to purchase a couple as gifts for my friends and a bonus one as a gift for me! I asked him to order them on Amazon for me and totally caught him ordering one less than I requested! He tried to tell me they were all out of stock and could only fulfill 2 of the 3 I wanted to purchase! I kept insisting that was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever heard until he finally broke down and told me he had already bought me one! I'm a loser.

Anyway, the point is, inside that cookbook is a recipe certain to make a visit to the cardiologist imminent! Her cinnamon rolls have more butter and sugar than anything I believe I have ever eaten! (And that has to be A LOT, because butter and sugar are the primary ingredients in almost everything I eat!!)

So when we were expecting a crowd during the holidays, I decided to whip up a couple of batches to feed everyone for breakfast, because who doesn't enjoy a nice, warm, freshly baked cinnamon roll?

Abbee and Emma helped me make them! (Emma apparently found it fascinating!)
These should definitely be eaten in moderation, but THEY ARE DELICIOUS!! I didn't quite cook them long enough so my batch was a little too doughy for me, but I will definitely be making these again sometime. You can actually find the recipe (and much better photos) on PW's website.
They were a BIG TIME HIT with all TWENTY family members who slept at our house during Christmas break!! Who knows, these just might become a Christmas tradition.
