These are the only pictures I have of Christmas morning. I think it's partly because the kids woke up at 6:30 and pretty much had Christmas wrapped up by the time I dragged my butt out of bed around 8:00!
See how I just simply shifted the blame? It's my gift.
This year we did something a little different. Instead of labeling the gifts, I let the kids choose which gifts they thought were theirs. Then, after they opened it, they had to guess if it was indeed their own gift or if it belonged to someone else! Some were giveaways...like JW's and Emma's gifts...but, others were a little more tricky! The best part was that everyone cared about EVERY gift because they never knew when their gifts would be opened!
The kids all agreed that we should make that a new tradition!
Anyway, we spent Christmas day just hanging out and playing with our new loot. That evening, we had James, Leigh and the girls, Grandjudy, and Savannah join us for dinner and more Christmas fun. You will just have to take my word for it. I have no proof!
The next day, we went to Grandpa and Gram's house for more Christmas feasting. Savannah, Madi, and Matthew were able to come home with us afterward and spend the night. Of course the kids had a grand time!
We wrapped up the Christmas celebrations with a trip to Nani's house to see all of my family. It's always a fun time for the kids...all SIXTEEN of them!!
While in Evadale, I got to catch up with my BFF Brandi from high school! It was a real treat getting to see her and her kids.
We rang in the New Year at my mom's and then made our way back to reality!
It was a busy, crazy, chaotic two weeks; but, I don't think we could have squeezed in one more ounce of excitement!
My only regret? My lack of photographical evidence. I'm hoping Emma and Sarah took a few pictures with their cameras. Otherwise? LAME.
we looks a bit underwhelmed.
